Websites are great, but I wanted to let you get to know me a little better than most sites do. So, here are a few ‘off the wall’ questions and their answers, designed to do just that:
What did your most telling school report say about you?
My first ever school report said that I had settled in and was doing well, but occasionally had to be reminded who was in charge of the class!
If you could invite four people to attend a dinner party with you (alive or dead) who would they be and why?
1 – Robin Williams. Laughter is very important to me and I think he would be great entertainment value
2 – Anita Roddick. I admire people who manage to create a business with such a strong ethics base, she is a real inspiration
3 – Ernest Shackleton. He is unparalleled in his ability to lead and inspire people under extreme circumstances
4 – Hugh Jackman. Isn’t it obvious?!
What would be the title of your autobiography?
Putting the ‘Ish’ into ‘Stylish’.
If you could have one superhero-type power, what would it be?
Part of me wants to say invisibility, but I don’t think I could stay quiet long enough for that to work. So, I’m going to go with the ability to read minds. Psychology gets us so far, but not far enough for me!
What is the best advice you have ever been given?
If you have to have any regrets in life, it is better to regret the things that you did, not the things that you didn’t do.
What is the holiday that you dream of having, but haven’t yet had?
It would be to start at Vegas, spend a few nights there, then move on to the Grand Canyon (where as it is a dream, I like to think I could do the sky walk!) and then go to Montana or somewhere and work on a ranch for a week or so. However, my farmer husband thinks that is too much of a busman’s holiday, but I’ve not given up trying yet…!
Which cartoon character best reflects your personality?
No hesitation on this one – its Tigger!
If you were going to be castaway on a desert island with someone, who would it be?
My husband. He is very strong physically and psychologically, extremely practical and knows about animals and plants, but more than that he makes me laugh, supports me and brings out the best in me under almost any circumstances.
And finally, if there is one question that you could get the answer to, what would it be?
As a philosopher there are so many questions that I would like answering. However I think the most influential one for people all over the world would be - Is there life after death?
