About Rhetonic and its founder

Hello – thanks for visiting this page. I assume that as you have arrived here (if you have done so deliberately) you are keen to find out more about Rhetonic and the person behind it.
Then let me enlighten you. The company was set up in October 2008 by me Katie Hart, as a result of a deliberate desire to provide ‘something different’.Katie Hart - Director
First I want to reassure you that I have some experience and credibility to do what it is that Rhetonic does. Well don’t act surprised… its what you really want to know isn’t it?

So, business stuff first. I was running my own marketing and exhibition organising company at the age of 26, an experience which gave me privileged access and insights into the way many different businesses are structured and operated. However, it also gave me a wonderful opportunity to work with hundreds of different people, seeing, experiencing and applying first hand the knowledge of human motivation and interactions that I had gained through studying Psychology.

In February 2003 I joined the Enterprise Agency in Peterborough, and was ultimately made Director of Enterprise Services, with responsibility for all of the enterprise agencies in the county. Working with entrepreneurs for 5 years was again a fascinating experience for me, and at this time I also began teaching A-Level Psychology and Philosophy to students at Peterborough Regional College.
I have delivered innovative enterprise programmes in schools and prisons, multi-million pound projects, training courses on many of the key business skills, been keynote speaker at significant regional events and launched many successful initiatives.
However, being surrounded by entrepreneurs was one thing, but being a frustrated one was something else, so I eventually left the organisation and set up on my own again, launching Rhetonic in 2008. At this time I was a Board member of the Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce and also Director of Huntingdonshire Chamber of Commerce.
I am a member of the Professional Speakers ‘Association, the ‘Customer Experience’ tutor and CIM Certificate Course Director for the Cambridge Marketing College.
So, now do you trust me a little more?!
I am a strong believer in charity work and have completed a trek across the Jordanian desert, the Playtex Moonwalk and organised a black tie charity ball raising a total of £15,976 for good causes so far. In addition to that I have recently become a Samaritan, providing much needed support to those who are distressed or suicidal.
Music is an important part of my life too, although if you heard me play the piano you might not think it!
I passionately believe in the services I provide and go the extra mile to deliver the best possible results I can on behalf of my clients. I look forward to discussing with you the ways that my expertise and years of psychological study and application can bring benefit to your organisation and staff.
